Hello Internet!
So Sooz has brought me in as an independent consultant in order to save you all from her frankly worrying music taste. I must say this is jolly exciting, it's almost like being famous. I'd like you to think of the songs I put up as the yin to Sooz's yang. The alpha to her omega. The good to her bad.
Lets kick things off with some jingly-jangly Scottish indie-pop. I really like this band - I think they have some vague association with Belle & Sebastien. The drummers are brothers or something. Anyway, listen:
Camera Obscura - Lloyd, I'm Ready To Be Heartbroken
When I'm not posting to indie mp3 blogs, I been known to spend my time hustlin' crack, living the ghetto life and plugging any mofo that disrespects me. As such, I can really empathise with Lupe Fiasco's sentiments in my next song. They speak to people like me on a level you may not be able to understand, but I suggest giving it a listen anyway - it's catchy.
